Descripción Hardcover. Condición: As New. Estado de la sobrecubierta: As New. First Edition. A true UK first edition/first printing, with the words 'This English translation first published in Great Britain in 1996' on the copyright page. A stunning copy. This was the first of Sebald's books to be translated into English, consequently a very small print run (only 'The Rings of Saturn' and the limited hardcover proof copy of 'Austerlitz' is more scarce). Translated by Michael Hulse. The author was the winner of the Berlin Literature Prize, the Literatur Nord, and many others, and his reputation continues to grow. The condition of this copy is astounding. Crisp pages, unmarked dark-blue boards. Perfect jacket, not price-clipped. This book was purchased on the day of publication, and has had no other owners (untouched in wraps ever since). No inscriptions or bookplates, of course. Please contact us if you would like to see more photos. All of our books are protected by a removable plastic cover, and dispatched with care. Nº de ref. del artículo: 000087
