She was diagnosed with mental illness and spent years in recovery. After the death of her husband, she lost custody of both of her daughters and was ensnared by addiction. Following an almost fatal suicide attempt, Melody was admitted into a psychiatric facility. It was there that she experienced the love of Christ in a powerful way. Melody is now serving the Lord Jesus in her church and community. She is an advocate for persons living with mental illness and has a deep desire to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world.
