Agatha Christie was born in England in 1890 and became, quite simply, the best-selling novelist in history. She is known throughout the world as the Queen of Crime. Her books have sold over a billion copies in the English language and another billion in over 100 foreign languages. She is the author of 80 crime novels and short story collections, 19 plays, and six novels under the name of Mary Westmacott.
Review:
''[Wanda McCaddon] reads with such a delightful English accent, intonation, and careful pacing that the suspense and drama build gradually. Each character is easily distinguishable and a treat to listen to, especially Poirot.'' --AudioFile
''[McCaddon's] performance is crisp, British, practiced, and assured. Her timing is impeccable, her accents unobtrusive; that is, they are so realistic that the listener's pleasure is not marred.'' --Kliatt
''[Wanda McCaddon] devises distinct voices for each major character and delivers a thoroughly entertaining rendition.'' --Library Journal
