Life in the slow lane was originally a weekly newspaper humor column. I looked at newspapers and found them devoted to bad news and world disasters. Doom and Gloom was taking over our lives from all media. Remembering the old saying that laughter was the best medicine, I decided to turn this cliché into reality. I gave readers the opportunity to laugh at my expense. I decided not to rely on inappropriate language and ethnic slurs for humor. Instead I used everyday situations with myself as the fall guy. The stories became so popular that I was bombarded with requests to put them in book form. These books are intended to be bathroom readers, and as the bathroom is the most public room in your home, suitable to be read by people from 9 to 90. In the stories there is a little bit of us all.
