Defining the New World Order: Economic Regions and Patterns of Global Cooperation (Transnational Business and Corporate Culture) - Tapa dura

This study analyzes global trading patterns across the post-World War Two period, probing the relationship between global trade and patterns of cooperation between states.

Empirically assess the structure of global relations as indicated by trading behavior and cooperative interactions, specifically examining the concept of the economic region and the relationship between economic ties and cooperative behavior. Finds that the evidence supports the structure posited by world systems theorists, but also substantiates the increasingly geographic nature of post-Cold-War commerce. Also shows that though economic relations and cooperative behavior are positively linked, neither fully explains the variance of the other.
