Helen Singer Kaplan, M.D., Ph.D., is Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry and is in charge of Student Teaching of Psychiatry at Cornell University College of Medicine. She also serves as Head of the Sex Therapy and Education Program at the Payne Whitney Clinic of New York Hospital, where she has developed and directs the clinic for brief treatment of sexual disorders( She also conducts a private practice in psychoanalysts and in sex therapy.
Dr. Kaplan is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, author of more than thirty professional publications, and co-editor (with Clifford J.
