The 'unforgettable fire' was the result of the atomic bomb dropped on the Japanese city of Hiroshima on 6th August 1945. Around 240,000 people died, many more died lingering deaths over the following years. Many years later, the Japanese Broadcasting Corporation, in a morning TV programme, requested drawings of the event from survivors - and were inundated. The survivors still lived with the memory of that day painfully etched in their minds, and these 100+ drawings, none by professional artists, accompanied by brief, often harrowing descriptions, were the result of their desire to share their memories. An essential book. Nº de ref. del artículo: 001134
