Good Day, Sir Cristemas is an expression of exuberance. The strong organ opening against the choir singing in unison sets its vivacious mood, which is continued as the choir and organ then juxtapose one another and offset each other's rhythms. In spite of some sudden changes of tonality the choir lines are not that difficult, but a large sound to match a big acoustic and lots of energy would be essential for the performers. This is a rousing carol worth trying for th right occasion. (Music Teacher June 04)
