"Wells, Glastonbury & Cleeve" by Edward Foord, was issued in the "Cathedrals, Abbeys & Famous churches" series, (Edited by Gordon Home), and published by J. M. Dent and Sons in London in 1925. In format is a handsome little paperback, illustrated with plate halftone photographs and line drawings (integral with the text). There is also a ground-plan of Wells Cathedral. GOOD PLUS … This is a previously owned book that has seen considerable use, but which remains clean and serviceable, with the following particulars noted :: EXTERIOR -- Spine is faded; spine surface has creasing; spine extremities area bit ragged (most noticeable at the foot), and, at the foot is a vague stain; joints are slightly nicked at their extremities; covers have modest surface rub and a few scattered small scuffs - on the front at the fore-edge is a small discoloration; edges display small nicks and dents; corner tips are bumped and there is overall a shallow creasing (most noticeable on rear cover); text-block edges are toned and display small impact denting, else clear. / BINDING -- Overall somewhat lax : the leaves open widely - the book displays it usage - however, no leaves are detached or loose. / INTERIOR -- There are various small smudges or spots; some of the leaves are creased at the top fore-edge corner tips; no writing , marking or marginalia.
