Embossed title and cavalry officer on his horse.Author's name and dedication in gilt.Title on spine embossed in black.Page edges are all in gilt.Minor wear to the tips of the cover and top and bottom of the spine. Full color and black and white plates with tissue guards some of which are loose.Complemented with smaller black vignette drawings and narrative.The plates and drawings depict British soldiers in their various campaigns throughout the19th century.An outstanding classic military plate book.
