Bob Swinehart sprang into fame through is two books, particularly after publishing this large format, 10x11 inch tall book weighing 3.5 lbs and profusely illustrated with color and b/w photographs as well as brilliant wildlife paintings by Doug Van Howd. The author is introduced by none other than the legendary world renowned Howard Hill (1970) who considered Swinehart one of the best archers. The book has two parts, Big game Hunting in North America, and Hunting the Big Five and other game including the Elephant ( a most dangerous game when you are on foot armed with Bow and Arrow instead of a powerful rifle - as there is no second chance if you missed or wounded a charging elephant. Printed on high quality stock , maroon board binding, no writing or foxing, Fully preserved dustjacket which survived 50+ years of shelving and handling with signs of edge wear with minor patches inside the DJ. A nice tight volume, the original 1970 , First edition, 240 pages, a.well kept volume.
