148+(1, Table des matieres); unmarked and entirely unopened so contents fine, wrappers slightly dusty in places and faintly browned to spine and edges, also some slight rubbing, two very small splits at top spine and bottom front joint now repaired with virtually invivble archival tear-repair tape. The dates (1932) does not appear on t.p. but is provided in printer's code '11.32' at bottom of Table des mateires' - I nopte that other listings also give this date, presumably on same basis. Uncommon, especially outside France. Duhem (1861-1916) was an eminent physicist, philosopher and historian of science, still highly regarded.
