Descripción
4to, pp. [ii] blank, 14, [4] blank; large woodcut arms to title, printed on pale blue paper; contemporary pattern paper wrappers, a.e.g.; a fine copy. First edition of the founding edict of 'Cacciatori Volontari', a light infantry company detached from the regiment, under Ferdinand III. The purpose of this infantry company is to maintain law and order within the city of Livorno. They are strictly organized, divided into six companies and regulated by the head of the government of the city of Livorno. The organisational structure is given, together with their enrolment, uniforms and pay, and their privileges. There was apparently another issue the same year, printed 'presso la societa tipografica', but this appears to be a special printing, on strong light blue paper, and, most unusual for a publication in wrappers, with all edges gilt.
