The Madhur Jaffrey Cookbook, Madhur Jaffrey, Tiger Books, 1992, First Edition Reprint Madhur Jaffrey is recognised for bringing Indian cuisine to the Western hemisphere with her debut cookbook and is known as the first Indian celebrity chef. In this book, describes in vivid detail the vast scope of Indian cooking, the regional differences in taste and method, a comprehensive list of the various spices used in India and a glossary of cookery terms. The recipes include those for soups, meats, fish, eggs, vegetables, rice, bread, chutneys, pickles and desserts as well as menu suggestions. In near fine condition, the binding is straight and tight, the boards clean and the lettering on the spine bright. There is a crease along the length of the spine. The end papers and pages are free from marks, tears and inscriptions. The unclipped dust jacket, protected in a clear, removable cover is in near fine condition with slight shelf wear to both ends of the spine, and a small white mark towards the bottom edge of the spine.
