A 1st ed. as new hardcover (cloth-bound printed) with as new DJ. Illustrated, b/w photos, contains lyrics. GREEK text. 191p. 25x29cm. 1,5kg. Every new release is a unique moment and every work has its value. The "Myth of Rebetikos", however, is a special moment. Markos Vamvakaris, Ioannis Papaioannou and Vassilis Tsitsanis are presented for the first time in one section. Genuine, authentic creators, all three of them, each made their own way, to meet in a timeless sense called Greece. Far from being idiosyncratic and purposeful, this work is a testimony, a sketch of the composers and their era. All three were influenced and influenced by their surroundings, but they had the great gift: they were expressed in their songs and thousands, millions of Greeks were expressed with them. In the historical web, following Hellenism, they are among the enlightened ones who left their mark. It is no coincidence that their songs are sung today by everyone, young and old. From the first moment the idea of "Myth Rebetiko" was born to the definitive "Print!", The search, the search, the completion didn't stop there. One by one the photos of the families of the great composers were gathered. Some had been guarded by their own or distant relatives, some rescued collectors who love rebetiko. The photographic material and the testimonies of the people who lived through the artists and their time were a source of inspiration for the writers of the texts. Giorgos Zarkadakis' creative awe met the penetrating, experienced gaze of Nitsa Loule-Theodorakis, and in turn the sacred experience and the personal discourse of George Christofilakis. For the first time, all this photographic material has been compiled for each of the three greats of our rebetiko and folk song. And on the CDs that accompany the release, we hear for the first time some authentic, rare recordings â Â" the personal moments of the creators. For all these reasons, today we are very pleased and proud to have completed this task. We believe that "Myth Rebetikos" is worth to be found in every Greek home. To know the past, to understand the present, to shape the future. (From the edition). Notice: Has increased shipping cost due to weight. N° de ref. del artículo PE3287
