*** BOOK in good clean tight and unmarked condition. Yellow boards with green title on spine. This is the 1st American edition, published a year before the UK edition. On the title page the book is touted as "A Story of the 1950s, Set in the West Indies" 439 pages. Top edge green. Fore and lower edges slightly browned. Generally, the book is in good condition, but it as it was a best seller, it has been well read. *** DUST JACKET in good condition, but with a few small chips and tears. At the bottom of the front flap is stated that this is the book club edition as well as being the first US edition.
