Wright began his narrative in 1898 and relied for the most part on the Official Records, which he quoted extensively; the study is far more factual than personal ; FOX 300 pg 406; COULTER 488: "The general impressions and atmosphere came from his memory, the more substantial military information from official records and regimental data. He used neither diary nor other personal papers, though he did make use of a diary kept by another member of the regiment. The work is almost wholly military but there are intelligent comments on conditions in the Confederacy.". N° de ref. del artículo 0124010
