The Fountain Overflows, Rebecca West, Macmillan & Co & Book Society, 1957, First Edition A semi-autobiographical novel whose story is set in the first decade of the twentieth century and revolves around the the gifted, eccentric Aubrey family. In very good condition, the binding is straight and tight, the boards clean except for some small marks to the bottom edge of the front and back boards, and the lettering on the spine is bright. There is some creasing to the front board, shelf wear to both edges of the spine and creasing and a small indentation to the back board. The end papers and pages are free from inscriptions. There is some damage to the join of the back end papers and marks to the bottom edge. The top edge fully retains its original red tint. The unclipped dust jacket, protected in a clear, removable cover is in good condition with loss to the corners, nibbling to the top edge of the front cover, a small mark and rubbing to the edge of the front cover, slight loss to the top edge of the spine, nibbling to the bottom edge of the spine, nibbling and a small nick to the top edge of the back cover and a small tear to the bottom edge of the back cover.
