Unpaged [22 leaves]. 18 x 12.25 inches. The first limited edition letterpress book issued by Gaspereau Press. Of an edition of 66, this is number 17 of 60 copies bound in paper by Susan Baxter. [Six copies were bound in leather by Ruth Legge.] The trade edition would win the 2001 Governor General's Literary Award, and this title has proved to be the publisher's best-selling book. Cover spotted; stain and light foxing to top 2 inches and bottom inch of half title, with stain diminishing on title and dedication pages; an inch of spotting to bottom edge of textblock near spine.
