RARE gilded & embossed illustrated hardcover book, sorry no dust-jacket. "Drawings and Paintings" By Joan Manning-Sanders. With an Introduction by R. H. Wilenski. This is the First Edition, published by Faber & Faber Limited, London, 1929. 4to, 25.9 cm x 19.8 cm x 1.6 cm, Blue cloth-covered boards, Gilt embossed lettering on spine, Unpaginated. Weight: 633 Grams. CONTENTS ARE LIKE NEW!!! However, spine is completely discoloured, bumped & scuffed either end and along its length, gilt dull, binding tight! Cover is faded round edges, marked in places mostly on back which also has scratches, edge wear. Corners are bumped & scuffed. Ink annotation on slightly foxed paper sticker ('This book belongs to') on 1st free end paper. Light age tanning throughout, some very occasional foxing. RARE ITEM, BEAUTIFUL INSIDE!!! An amazing collection of 30 of Joan Manning-Sanders' drawings & paintings which she produced as a child before she was even 16 years old!
