Xvi pp + 423 pages with 3 steel engravings and a folding Buonaparte family genealogical chart, full diced calf, morocco label on the spine and gilt panels, with ruled gilt borders, marbled endpapers and page edges, some light wear and rubbing at extremes, contents very good+, small octavo. 1831. *Note: A beautiful oval 1835 prize presentation label inside front board for "Miss Mitchell" Midsummer Reward Class, 1835. with blue printed text stating "Woodland House, Maize Hill, Greenwich Park run by Mademoiselle's Cousins and Bannatyne. (see photo scan) SEE also item number 9793 for another book with this bookplate. ***This property is a grade 2 listed building and was once owned by John Julius Angerstein. There is no mention in the local history of the house it was EVER a private tutorial school run by these 2 female teachers at this period. Then from 1972 to 2003 the building served as a library and art museum, known as the Woodlands Art Gallery. Today it houses a Steiner School. Anonymous Printing believed to have been written by S.
