He goes to a State Ball at the Palace of Tsarskoe Selo and he has a memorable encounter with the mysterious monk Rasputin. Then the revolution starts and although at first it seemed remote enough from the affairs of the Academy, Peter soon finds himself caught by it when armed mutiny breaks out in the Academy itself. The tale of his subsequent adventures has the breath of reality to add to its dangers and thrills because the author can draw on his own memories to give the authentic background.' (Quote from inside front jacket blurb).***Uncommon children's fiction first edition, especially in complete original dust-jacket.***For all our books, postage is charged at cost, allowing for packaging: any shipping rates indicated on ABE are an average only: we will reduce the P & P charge where appropriate - please contact us for postal rates for heavier books and sets etc. N° de ref. del artículo 1828
