This petite paperback booklet is "Brief Burlesques and Epigrams" edited by E. Haldeman-Julius, himself, and also published him. It is Little Blue Book # 908, which was published in 1925. Currently it is fairly scarce on the market. ******************************** There are lots and lots of choice quotations - some short, and some much longer. My favorite is a short one: "Is there anything worse to contend with than stupidity? With stupidity, as Goethe Says, even the Gods fight in vain. Stupidity, the mother of intolerance, is the hardest to fight, but even though it always looks like a losing battle, one must continue." ********************************* SERIES : Little Blue Book (No. 908) / TITLE : Brief Burlesques and Epigrams / EDITOR : E. Haldeman-Julius / IMPRINT : Haldeman - Julius / PLACE : Girard, Kansas / DATE : (1925) / EDITION : First Edition / STATUS : OP - SCARCE / PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION : Petite stapled paperback; 64 pages (pagination includes title page); 3 1/2" x 5" , printed gray wraps. Rear Cover blank. *********************************** CONDITION - - Little Blue Books were issued using inexpensive materials and thus are almost always found with toned and faded paper. Other small defects such as slightly chipped corners, printer's smudges, and such are common. Any flaws beyond the normal for these will be detailed. Little Blue Books often did not have blue covers - or the blue has faded to gray. Please remember that vintage paper items are more fragile than their modern counterparts, and thus require proper care in handling. // THIS COPY - VERY GOOD - Nicely preserved - clean and attractive. There is a small chip (bit of loss) to the foot of the spine, else binding is solid. Interior is , of course, toned, but clean and free of marking , free of writing. No signatures. The paper in Little Blue Books is almost always found to be toned. N° de ref. del artículo 1764
