Exemplar amb les cobertes parcialment desenganxades pel llom del cos del llibre. Exemplar amb una dedicatòria de l'autor a l'escriptor Frederich Soler (Pitarra). Conrad Roure fou un dels dramaturgs de l'esclat de l'escena en català de mitjan anys 1860. Era un dels amics més constants i fidels de Frederic Soler, amb qui col·laborà. La seva producció segueix els paràmetres habituals de la comèdia costumista, que combinen trames sentimentals amb la descripció del món de les poblacions d'interior sempre des d'una perspectiva amable.
