LCCN 73-186646 and no statement of edition or printing on its copyright page, so a first edition. Signed and inscribed by author Jack Williamson on its title page, "For Scott / Best / Jack Williamson / 1987". (The inscription is to this book's previous owner, noted collector Scott Cupp.) This book is in near fine condition, marred only by light bumps on its spine ends. Its binding is sound and square, with no spine crease. Covers are unmarked and otherwise unworn. Pages are unworn and -- other than the author's inscription -- unmarked. Its dust jacket, now protected by a removable mylar cover, is also in very good condition: whole and bright, marred only by a small price sticker on its back (not obscuring any text), a 1/8" ink mark near the top of its spine, a 1/4" scrape near the bottom of its spine, and some light wear on the ends of its spine and flap folds. I will ship this book in a moisture proof zip-loc bag, padded in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy box to assure it reaches its new owner in the same condition as my description.
