Signed by Author(s) A near fine book which is slightly age toned along page edges in a very good DW which is creased along edges near top and bottom of spine with light chipping in the same areas. The DW is NOT priceclipped. There is a previous owners name on the FEP. This is the famous story of how PLF & WSM & the Cretan Partisans kidnapped General Kreipe and smuggled him off Crete and back to Cairo in Egypt. The book was signed when PLF visited Waterstones Deansgate Manchester on Monday 14th October 1991, a programme of the events is laid in. I asked PLF if he would sign this book, which was not written by him. He thought for a few seconds and then wrote "Inscribed by one of the participants Patrick Leigh Fermor". He could not have written anything better if I had asked him, this makes the book truly unique. It was further signed by the daughter of W Stanley Moss "Gabrielle" when I met her at an event a year later. N° de ref. del artículo 252
