[3], iv-x, [3], 14-210pp. Half-morocco and marbled paper over boards, raised bands, spine in six panels, title lettered directly to second panel, author to fourth, remaining panels with central fleuron device, t.e.g., marbled endpapers. Rubbed to extremities, internally quite bright and clean. One of seven hundred and twenty-five copies, this being number thirty-three, signed by the author. Anderson (1775-1870) was an American physician and wood engraver / illustrator, sometimes called the father of wood engraving in America, and is the subject of a significant bibliography by Jane Pomeroy Size: 4to.
