Quarto (8 1/2 x 11 inches; 215 x 280 mm), [54] mimeographed pages, rectos only, in stapled wrappers. Soiling to wrappers, some edge wear, one-inch stain at fore edge. Interior clean and bright. A Very Good copy. SIGNED by Ted Berrigan on the tissue guard before the title page. A collection of poems from an edition of 400 copies, 25 of which were numbered and signed by Berrigan, plus 3 hors commerce. (Although Berrigan signed this copy, it was not actually one of the 25 signed and numbered copies.) With a hand-colored cover (as issued) by Rochelle Kraut. An attractive collection of poems by one of the key members of the New York School. SCARCE SIGNED. This book was published by Frontward Books, which was started by Bob Rosenthal and Rochelle Kraut. According to Rosenthal, Berrigan taught him how to use a mimeograph machine when Berrigan was teaching at Northwestern and Rosenthal was attending his classes. "In all, the press published nine mimeographed books, noteworthy for their often hand-colored covers with drawings by Rochelle Kraut," according to Steven Clay and Rodney Phillips, "A Secret Location on the Lower East Side," pages 218-219. Original Wrappers. Condición: Very Good binding. Quarto. 27 ll. First edition, limited to 400 copies. As issued, mimeographed pages with text on the rectos only, side-stapled in stiff wrappers with printed cover illustration and scattered hand-coloring by Kraut. Wrappers are a trifled toned; a discolored area on the rear wrapper; light shelfwear; internally clean. One of nine mimeographed books issued by Bob Rosenthal and Rochelle Kraut at their late 1970s Frontward Press. Despite the fairly large limitation, copies are relatively uncommon. Soft cover. Condición: Near Very Good. First Edition. 4to. Stab-stapled. Unpaginated (54pp. printed on rectos only). One of 375 copies (of 400), published at The Poetry Project. With a hand-coloured cover by Rochelle Kraut. A little light wear to the cover, and with a couple of small spots/stains at the head edge, running through the head edge of some pages, but not affecting the design and nowhere near the text.
