First description of Binswanger's disease or Subcortical Leukoencephalopathy, also called "Morbus Binswanger" or short "SAE". It is a rare form of multi-infarct dementia caused by damage to white brain matter. It is characterized by loss of memory and intellectual function and by changes in mood. It was first described by the famous Swiss psychiatrist Otto Binswanger (1852 - 1929) and Alois Alzheimer later used the term "Binswanger's disease" in 1902. - Good copy with library stamp on cover and title.
