Minor marks, blemishes or reading wear commensurate with age else a very nice copy. Lower marginal watermark in places, not really affecting text. Overall a very nice copy of this commentary. Charles Spurgeon states in his Commenting & Commentaries : Contains a slack of knowledge, and more than a sufficient stock of quotations from the fathers. Torshell printed the book fifteen years after Stack's death, and finding it to be written for a popular audience only, he added an examination of the original and a few notes in a more learned style, to make a complete commentary. The two authors have thus composed THE work upon Malachi. Bound in full contemporary calf binding. Re-backed in a lighter calf. Raised bands. Gilt-lettered red calf label to the spine.
