6 1/2 in. x 8 1/4 in., integral paper covers, printed on both sides, with front cover printed in red & black, with woodcut device and borders, mathematical table (Das grosse Einmal-Eins), on outer back cover; unpaginated, [68]pp., with astrological matter printed in red & black, and a woodcut illustration for each month, that features the sign and occupations typical of that month; with a two page section (29-30), giving woodcut coats-of-arms of nineteen Swiss Cantons; political situation in Europe (1810); full-page woodcut of farmer & soldiers shovelling up locusts & burning them in a fire (Der Auszug gegen die Heuschrecken; p. [39]), with other news of weather, political situations in various countries; full-page woodcut of Indian bullock cart (Vorstellung eines Hackeri oder indischen Fuhrwerks; p. [47]); full-page woodcut of a man holding a dog, shooting another man in a counting house (Der gewungene Kauf und gleiche Zurueckgabe; [51]); full-page woodcut of two men shoving a body into a stove (Gefaehriche Art einzuheitzen; p. [55]); double-page, elaborate woodcut of the birth of the King of Rome (Die Geburt des Koenigs von Rom; pp. [58-59]), this woodcut is signed in the block: Merz, and the others are initialled: M, eMe, Me; full-page woodcut of a man serving a woman and two children, food at a table (Die fette Gans; p. [63]); small woodcut of a Doctor bleeding a woman patient, on the inner back cover (p. [67]). Outer covers show wear to the corners and edges, dusting; some tan spotting to pages, illustrations. Three signatures sewn together, the sewing is partially loose. Very scarce, woodcut illustrated almanac, produced in Switzerland, during the Napoleonic period. Text is in German.
