San Francisco mystery writer's first book which was re-released by Black Lizard in 1986 as "The Damned Don't Die" (which he alludes to in the typed postcard) An ex-San Francisco cop now turned private eye investigates a kinky sex-murder where one of the clues is a sentence in a typewriter page "I've always wanted to skin a woman."
