Descripción

Twelve-inch 33 1/3 rpm recording, both inner and outer sleeves present, outer sleeve mildly edgeworn and scuffed, but boldly inscribed by Carter across the front. Colson was a break-through musician in black composers who crossed over into film score, was a mentor of Quincy Jones, and fought one of the early battles to desegregate homes and neighborhoods in Los Angeles. With Buddy Collette, he desegregated the Los Angeles local of the American Federation of Musicians, and fought to make sure thatminority orchestras received screen credit for their work. Carter received a Presidential Medal for his contribution to US culture from Bill Clinton. His career was 80 years long. N° de ref. de la librería 106651
