The story appears to have been written in 1946-1947- no date in the book The two "glimps" each have a television set. One glimp lives in a black & white world while the other enjoys the rich hues of color television. The outcome is obvious. CBS was trying to advocate for color television sets through this scarce promotional work by Bemelmans. While a 1946-47 date is usually attributed for this this story, that doesn?t make much sense to me since color tvs were not even available for sale until the 1950s [??].
