Two small volumes on card games in the publisher's original pictorial paper wraps. All edges gilt. 5 full-page colour diagrams to Selected Patience Games and further colour diagrams accompanying the text. A fourth edition of Royal Auction Bridge (1920), with a chapter on Auction Whist, by Ernest Bergholt, and a 1918 edition of Selected Patience Games by the prolific and influential magic author and translator Angelo John Lewis (18391919), whose pseudonym was Professor Hoffmann. 7 pages of publisher's advertisements to the rear of Selected Patience Games and 8 pages of publisher's advertisements to the rear of Royal Auction Bridge. In the publisher's original pictorial paper wraps. Externally smart, with a little wear to the paper wraps and a small ink stain to the front of the wrap of Selected Patience Games and some creasing to the front of the wrap of Royal Auction Bridge.
