Hardcover. Condición: Poor. 1st Edition. Yes, this is the original 1938 printing of The New Rupert Book, with Rupert and friends in the boughs of a trees with a staircase twisiting behind them. However, it is in a pig of a state. The boards are worn at the edges and there is a red pencil squiggle on the back board - with more inside. The Title Page has the top corner missing, affecting the "w" in New. The first two pages of illustrations have been horrendously painted with watercolour and there are page corners missing from time to time, not affecting text. However, the most important thing is the book is incomplete. It stops at page 64 - the second part of the textblock having dropped out and been lost. So - this is not a collector's piece BUT if you are seeking a donor volume to make up lost or damaged pages, this could well be what you need. The boards are quite okay, really, too - so if you have a page block and have damaged boards, a good repair job using this book would see you increase the value of your investment. Hence, sold with all faults. Book.
