Original-Halbleinenband Spanischer Druck des reich bebilderten Werkes mit Ansichten aus Mexiko. Ernst Hugo Brehme (1882-1954) hatte schon in Deutschland erfolgreich als Fotograf gearbeitet, bevor er 1908 mit seiner Frau nach Mexiko-Stadt emigrierte. Der Erfolg seines dortigen Fotostudios ermöglichte es ihm, das Land kreuz und quer zu bereisen und in allen seinen Facetten im Bild festzuhalten. Seit Mitte der 1920er Jahre galt er als der bedeutendste Fotograf des Landes. Das Ibero-Amerikanische Institut in Berlin, da über einen großen Bestand an Originalabzügen verfügt, widmete ihm 2004 eine umfangreiche Ausstellung.
