HARD COVER GREEN. Condición: Very Good. CE BROCK Ilustrador. Beautifully bound in a fine signed green leather binding by J.F. Gray & Sons, Cambridge, with their discreet binder's mark blind-stamped on the lower front dentelles. Full meadow green fine-grained morocco (slightly mottled with slight tanning on spine), 5 raised ribs on spine, bright gold gilt lettering on spine, double gilt rules along edges carried over to four gilt rules on inner dentelles, beautiful marbled end papers, all edges gilt (enhanced with a charming full-color fore edge painting of two scenes from the book; Fanny & Edmund? in a park setting and Fanny? playing a harp with a center portrait likely representing Jane Austen herself. A very unique and desirable volume.), bookplate of Sidney Neville Smith (Lt. His Majesty's Fleet, 1908) on front pastedown, absolutley beautiful specimen! DATE PUBLISHED: 1908 EDITION: 396.
