Hardcover. Condición: Very Good. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Near Fine. 1st Edition. This is a set of the first three US books in the Harry Potter series, all inscribed 'To Michael' by J.K. Rowling on October 20th, 2000, in New York City. Ten Scholastic essay contest winners were invited to have lunch with Rowling, one of which was Michael Salka who these books are inscribed to. This very brief visit to New York was Rowling's only meeting with Harry Potter fans in the United States in 2000. These books were sold by Michael himself to Adam Houston in 2022 who has since sold them to myself. Four photographs from the event are included, two photos show all 10 essay winners including Michael along with J.K. Rowling and another shows Michael's mum reading to him with these exact three books at the foot of the bed. Michael's mum passed away in 2022 which led him to sell the books. An amazing set, with a lovely story and fantastic provenance. The Sorcerer's Stone is a paperback 21st printing with an inscription that reads 'To Michael, congratulations, J.K. Rowling.' The Chamber of Secrets is a hardcover 22nd printing with an inscription that reads 'To Michael, a good writer himself! J.K. Rowling.' The Prisoner of Azkaban is a hardcover 7th printing with an inscription that reads 'To Michael, don't let those photographers get you down! J.K. Rowling.' All books are in very good condition. Internally all three of the books are exceptionally clean, they have lovely crisp white pages with no marks, ownership inscriptions or writing of any kind. The first book, the paperback appears unread, with an incredibly tight and square binding. there is some minor damage to the base of the spine approx 1.5cm closed tear of the front cover and the first page. The second and third books are in very similar condition to each other, they both have a slight spine lean, pushed spine tips and base, some minor marks to the boards and some minor shelf wear but overall in very good condition. The dust jackets are both in near fine condition with no colour fading at all and just a minor touch of shelf wear. All three inscriptions come fully authenticated by Adam Houston 'theharrypotterspecialist' the world's leading expert in authenticating Jo's signature. This set comes with a full authentication package including a letter of authenticity and collector card for each book along with four photographs from the event where the books were signed. Hardcover. Condición: Fine. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Fine. Mary GrandPré Ilustrador. 1st Edition. This particular copy was signed in black ball point pen during Rowling's second American tour in October 1999 to promote the release of the book. Bookstores would only allow American copies of Rowling's books to be signed and typically limited the number of copies signed to just one per person. This was when the Harry Potter phenomenon really took off in the US and Rowling signed thousands of copies of the book. In order to meet demand many of Rowling's signatures from this tour appear rushed. The book and dust jacket are in fine condition with no fading at all, the pages are clean with no inscriptions or marks of any kind. The book is unread, the boards are square with sharp corners with no foxing to the text block at all. Some very minor bruising to the spine base otherwise a pristine copy. It comes housed in a purple clamshell box made purposely for this book, with the title and author s name printed in gold leaf to the spine. The signature comes fully authenticated by Adam Houston theHarryPotterspecialist the world s leading expert in authenticating Jo s signature. It comes with a full authentication package including a letter of authenticity and collector card. Signed by Author(s).

Condición: Fine in fine jacket. First printing. Signed first US edition of the 3rd Harry Potter book, the first to feature Sirius Black and Remus Lupin as major characters. Rowling found her stride in this installment, generally cited as a fan favorite along with the following book, GOBLET OF FIRE. It won the Whitbread Children's Book Award, the Bram Stoker Award, and the Locus Award for Best Fantasy Novel. The Harry Potter series has been the biggest literary phenomenon of our lifetime. The books remain formative for millions, including the many readers who reject Rowling's agitations against trans rights. This copy from the personal collection of Mary and Robert Brown, longtime owners of Books, Bytes, and Beyond bookstore in Glen Rock, NJ, who hosted Rowling for an event in October 1999, where this book was signed. Pottermania was just beginning to ramp up on this tour (which was for the release of this book), but had not reach the fevered pitch of later releases and appearances. Due to the strength of the forgery market, Rowling signatures are justifiably suspect. Authentically signed copies with clear provenance, like this one, are therefore more desirable. An excellent example of her early signature. 7.5'' x 5''. Publisher's original quarter purple cloth over blue boards. In original unclipped ($19.95) full-color pictorial dust jacket with art by Mary Grandpré. Orange endpapers. xii, 436 pages. Signed by Rowling on the title page. Small bump to one corner. Else bright, clean, sharp, and tight.

Soft cover. Condición: Near Fine. No Jacket. Grandpré, Mary Ilustrador. 1st Edition. The books presented here are two later printings of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (43rd printing) and Chamber of Secrets (22nd printing) and a first printing of Prisoner of Azkaban. Each book is signed and inscribed 'To Hamish' who was the son of J.K. Rowling's neighbour when she was living in Abbotsford Park, Edinburgh. These are all 2000 variations of Rowling's signature and were all signed together for Hamish when he was eight years old. He kept the books for 24 years before deciding to sell them in 2024. All three books are in beautiful condition except for clear fading to the spines. Apart from that they are all in fine condition, unread with a tight and square binding and no clear creasing to the spines which is exceptionally rare for paperback books. There are no major creases or bowing at all to the front or back covers but there is the slightest bit of fading of the blue to the top left of the front cover of the second book only. Internally, there is very mild toning to the page edges, as always and is to be expected but no where near as is with most paperback copies. There are no ownership inscriptions or marks of any kind, no dog eared pages, tears or creases at all. Overall these books are in exceptional condition aside from the spine fading. All three signatures come fully authenticated by Adam Houston 'theharrypotterspecialist' the world's leading expert in authenticating Jo's signature. This set comes with a full authentication package including a letter of authenticity and collector card. This is an extremely rare set of the first three books to find all inscribed with provenance. Hardcover. Condición: Near Fine. 1st Edition. First edition, first printing of the deluxe edition of "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban," signed by J.K. Rowling on the dedication page. This copy was signed in August 1999 for David R. McMillan from Dunblane, Scotland. McMillan, intimately associated with Rowling through publicity work, had the privilege of meeting her several times. An original letter detailing his association with Rowling is included with the book. Also accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity (LoA) from Adam Houston (TheHarryPotterSpecialist), the world's sole J.K. Rowling signature expert and an informative collector's card that provides additional details. The DELUXE edition of "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" was released on July 8, 1999, simultaneously with the trade edition, marking the first installment published by Bloomsbury as a collector's edition. The print run for the initial release is unknown, but it is exceptionally limited. In September 1999, Deluxe editions of the first two volumes followed with a larger print run. All subsequent volumes were released concurrently with the trade edition. Due to its extremely restricted availability, the first print run of this title is the most valuable in the series. This holds true for authentically signed copies, which are exceedingly rare. This particular copy was signed shortly after its release, with only a handful of such signed copies in existence. The book is bound in the publisher's original green cloth and appears unread. The condition is near fine. Handling has caused some slight (hardly noticeable) fading at a few points on the edges of the green cloth, but the boards are without any wear. Minor bumped lower spine end, sharp upper spine end and sharp corners. The green endpapers are unmarked, the pages are clean with very mild toning as usual. The gilded bookends have a few minor marks but still look very good. Overall, a very attractive copy of an exceedingly scarce signed book. Signed by Author(s).

Rowling credited to the copyright page, signed by the author on official Bloomsbury book plate. The previous owner purchased this book new from James Thin, an independent bookstore in Edinburgh, reportedly one of J.K. Rowling's favorite shops in the city (the sticker price is still on the dust jacket). It was also known as one of the few places where signed books were available. Unfortunately, this charming independent bookstore eventually closed its doors in 2002. The book is in fine condition only minor bent at the top of the spine. Signed by Author(s).
