With a six page preface by the author. 'Trafalgar', in heroic couplets, occupies the first 147 pages of the volume, and is succeeeded by 'An Elegy on the Death of Lord Nelson', 'An Epitaph on the Death of Lord Nelson', and two other short pieces - 'The Orphan's Lament' and 'The Tears of Britain - A Song'. BL, Edinburgh, National Library of Scotland, National Maritime Museum, Harvard, New York Public Library copies only. No further edition is recorded. Neatly bound in contemporary straight-grained red morocco, all edges gilt, gilt lettering & decoration, marbled endpapers. Extremities rubbed, spine slightly darkened, upper corners a little soft, toch of internal soiling and the odd marginal crease. Title abbreviated to 'Trafalg' on spine. A generally very good copy with the attractive contemporary leather bookplate of one Miss Jeanie Laurence to front pastedown.

Two parts, 4to, pp. 24; 24; a bit stained on title page and last page of each part; disbound. Parts X-XI of an amusing periodical in verse, published in twelve numbers, under various titles, in 1708-9; each number sold for sixpence. The individual numbers of this miscellany are very rare: the only complete set recorded by the ESTC is one at the Turnbull Library, which has an additional general title-page, dated 1710. The single number which survives with most frequency is Part I, entitled Satyrical Reflections on the Vices and Follies of the Age: of this, ESTC lists seven copies. Parts II-VIII were called Reflections, Moral, Comical, Satyrical; of these, ESTC reports runs at the Bodleian and Folger, along with copies of Parts II, III, IV, and VII at the British Library and the Library of Congress, and a copy of Part IV at Michigan. Parts IX-XII were called, as here, Poetical Reflexions: of these, ESTC lists a set at Folger, as well as Parts IX-X at the Bodleian, Part X at Cambridge, and Part XI at McMaster.
