Poe, etc. This copy's condition is shown in the picture and is thus prices accordingly to what its full value is. Tape was used to keep the front and back cover together, as the cover is very thin.

Original wraps, 38 pages, pages 15-22 lacking but photocopies of the pages bound in, light stain on cover edge, bleeding through to the inside cover and faintly onto title page, chipping to edges, spine split about half way but holding, inscribed by O.S. Clark on the inside of the front wrap, overall a good copy of a very rare item. According to a 1923 auction record there were only 75 copies printed. Privately printed for friends, the book tells of the author's experience meeting Clay Allison on the trail and some of Allison's subsequent killings. The 1922 edition included new material from other authors. This edition called "exceedingly rare," in Six-Guns 429. Adams notes that 3 loose-leaf inserts seldom found in copies of the book, likewise are not in this copy. Howes C445, Graff 739, Rader 832.
