A Simple random sampling technique was employed in choosing the sampling size of the study. Questionnaires and interview guide were the tools mainly used to collect the data. Secondary data for the research were also collected from internet, and newsletters. Majority of solid waste produced in the community is made up of polythene and empty sachet water bags. Individual households collect and dispose their own solid waste. It was found out that solid waste was disposed of through burning and burying at the local landfill site.
