Neuware - Linear programming attracted the interest of mathematicians during and after World War II when the first computers were constructed and methods for solving large linear programming problems were sought in connection with specific practical problems-for example, providing logistical support for the U.S. Armed Forces or modeling national economies. Early attempts to apply linear programming methods to solve practical problems failed to satisfy expectations. There were various reasons for the failure. One of them, which is the central topic of this book, was the inexactness of the data used to create the models. This phenomenon, inherent in most pratical problems, has been dealt with in several ways. At first, linear programming models used 'average' values of inherently vague coefficients, but the optimal solutions of these models were not always optimal for the original problem itself. Later researchers developed the stochastic linear programming approach, but this too has its limitations. Recently, interest has been given to linear programming problems with data given as intervals, convex sets and/or fuzzy sets. The individual results of these studies have been promising, but the literature has not presented a unified theory. Linear Optimization Problems with Inexact Data attempts to present a comprehensive treatment of linear optimization with inexact data, summarizing existing results and presenting new ones within a unifying framework.

The IFIPISEC conferences have since then become the flagship events of TC-11. We are very pleased that we succeeded with our bid to after 23 years hold the IFIPISEC conference again in Sweden. The IT environment now includes novel, dynamic approaches such as mobility, wearability, ubiquity, ad hoc use, mindhody orientation, and businesslmarket ori- tation. This modem environment challenges the whole information security research community to focus on interdisciplinary and holistic approaches whilst retaining the benefit of previous research efforts. Papers offering research contributions focusing on dynamic environments in addition to other aspects of computer security and privacy were solicited for submission to IFIPISEC 2006. We received 141 submissions which were all reviewed by at least three members of the international program committee.

The pharmacogenetics devoted to psychotropic drugs (psychopharmacogenetics) will help to further develop these points.The psychopharmacogenetic field represents an important area of research that is based on various specialties including clinical psychiatry, pharmacology, neurobiology and genetics. A novel loop-shape polysilicon microheater is designed and built in a CMOS-SOI standard process. High thermal uniformity, low power consumption and high working temperature are confirmed by extensive measurements. The additional gas flow sensing layers are judiciously chosen and implemented. Measurements in the presence of a nitrogen flow and gas reveal fair sensitivity on a large flow velocity range as well as good response to many gases. Finally, MOS transistors suspended on released dielectric membranes are presented and fully characterized as a concluding demonstrator of the co-integration in SOI technology.
