Therefore, this work seeks to find a way to model and optimize the impact of operational risks on corporate sustainability. The methodology used is based on the assignment of two distribution functions for the creation of a probabilistic model that allows quantifying the probability of occurrence (frequency) and the expected monetary impact (severity) on the sustainability variables (environmental, social, and economic). The result is a statistical convolution through Monte Carlo simulation which makes it possible to quantify aggregate losses to finally make an optimization process of the variables and estimate the financial impact. Therefore, this study extends the literature on risk quantification, proposing a stochastic model that quantifies and optimizes the operational risks that are related to corporate sustainability. In Turkana South Sub-county, teen pregnancy is one of the factors associated with poor enrolment, transition and retention in schools. The author therefore, examines the occurrence of teen pregnancies in schools as a factor of societal inequalities and as victimizing factor towards gender inequalities in learner retention. The study employed social survey research design and used methods to collect data. Nonprobability purposive and convenience sampling were used to sample out 4 librarians and 12 students respectively to participate in this study. The total sample size was, therefore, 16 respondents. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel application. The findings in the study indicate that Mzuzu Prison School Library mainly acquires library materials through gift, donations and partially direct purchase. The study has revealed further that the library has collection gaps in academic books such as English language & Literature, sciences, and Humanities books. However, the collection development activities at Mzuzu Prison School Library are challenged by lack of information resources, financial resources, lack of training for library assistants, inadequate staff, lack of administrative support and lack of collection development policy.
