President of Beckett Paper Company Thomas Beckett provides an intertwined family history and company history on pages 155-190. Founded in 1848 in Hamilton, Ohio by family patriarch William Beckett, the paper manufacturer existed under several partnerships until being formerly incorporated in 1887 as Beckett Paper Company whereas it continued to be managed by family descendants until being acquired by Hammermill Paper Company in 1959 and, in turn, by International Paper in 1984 under which Beckett continues to operate as a subsidiary.
