Normalerweise verwendet er als Arbeitsinstrument ein Endoskop, eine kleine Kamera, die in den menschlichen Körper eingeführt wird, um Erkrankungen im Magen- und Darmtrakt darzustellen und zu behandeln. Er ist einer von vier Ärzten, die eingeladen waren, im Juni 2012 an einer künstlerischen Versuchsanordnung mitzuwirken. Während der im Rahmen vom polnischen Videokünstler Artur Zmijewski kuratierten 7. Berlin Biennale beschäftigten sich die Mediziner mit Fragen, wie etwa eine Person gegenwärtig zum Patienten oder zur Patientin wird, welche Rolle die Zeichnung in der klinischen Arbeit spielt oder wie im Operationssaal eine Situation hergestellt wird, die es dem Operateur oder der Operateurin ermöglicht, in einen lebenden Körper zu schneiden. Im Vorfeld der Veranstaltung vorbereitete und zudem extra dafür hergestellte Videomaterialien von Operationen, Chirurgielehrfilme und Aufnahmen vom Körperinneren erzeugten ¿ mit Hilfe von Mitteln des Theaters und des Films ¿ eine absorbierende Stimmung.
