Hardcover. Condición: Very good +. Estado de la sobrecubierta: very good. First edition. 304pp. Octavo [23.5 cm] Pictorial paper over boards. Endpapers illustrated with maps of South-Eastern England (The Winder Ancestral Homeland) and The Winder Family's Journey to America (February - October 1853). There is a subtle 1 1/2" ripple in the paper of the front board, and the dust jacket shows mild edge wear. From the dust jacket- "John R. Winder was one of the most brilliant financial minds in the American West and contributed his talents to dozens of corporate boards. He helped to steer the Church out of debt, and during the intense anti-polygamy raids, all of the Church's property was placed in his name to protect it.".
