Hardback: 8" x 5". Condición: Very Good: Light signs of wear. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Very Good. Cover Art: Richard Weaver Ilustrador. 1st Edition. © 1966: A stand-alone novel by Arthur Selling. 1st edition, 1st printing. Price clipped:- Synopsis: A lifetime of half finished inventions has left Adolphe Quy destitute and bereft of most of his friends. He is branded as unreliable and a scientific misfit, so that when at last he does persevere and produce a new form of power no one believes him, and even those few who see it in action think that they have been victims of an elaborate hoax. Only his grandson has faith in him and, encouraged by his youthful moral support, he goes on to perfect what is undoubtedly a world shattering invention:- Review(s): "Arthur Selling's previous books 'The Silent Speakers' and 'The Uncensored Man' have established him as one of England's foremost science fiction writers. 'The Quay Effect' will add to that reputation":- (original cost 18').
