One photographic print of Brook and Carroll and actor Emlyn Williams. Two magazine clippings from Ecran magazine dated September 17 1935 advertising the 1935 film, one under the title "El Dictador" and one under the title "Amores de un Dictador." Ecran magazine was a Chilean magazine that printed from April of 1930 until 1969. During the early years it published on literature and cinema before transitioning to publishing explicitly on cinema in 1939. Very loosely based on Danish history. In late 1700s Denmark, the King and Queen have a very turbulent relationship. She has an affair with a physician and political reformer. Photographic prints 4.5 x 10 inches and 10 x 4.5 inches.

Together with a typed letter (carbon) from Cukor to Erik Charrell and a note from Cukor's file listing five people that he sent similar letters to. Very good. This was a "chain letter" designed to raise funds for the war effort for the American Field Service Eagle Club. In part: " - Don't break this chain and run the risk of Adolf Hitler and his henchmen arriving on our doorstep." Saville ( 1895 ¿ 1979) was an English film director, producer and screenwriter. He directed 39 films between 1927 and 1954. He also produced 36 films between 1923 and 1962. Signed by Author(s).
