Direct from the Diablo development team and horror's preeminent minds comes Tales from the Horadric Library, a short story collection exploring the deepest, darkest corners of Sanctuary.

Gennady Vavilov's piano music is truly considered to be the special page in his creative work: 16 sonatas, 14 piano suites, among them - the ones, based on the Karelian and the Finnish folk-lore - "Piirilejkki", "Runes", "Native Strains", "Iojkhu", cycles of piano pieces, as large-scale as "The Northern Album", "The Way to the Sun", "Etudes-pictures", novelles, more than one hundred programme-miniatures. All these compositions did not only enrich the world composition palette of the second half of the 20th century, not very abounding in piano creations. They also seemed to determine the perspectives of this genre development in the 21 century. 9790660001837.

Those were such distinguished figures as E. O. Messner, E. K. Golubev, O. A. Yevlakhov to have been his preceptors in the Moscow and St. Petersburg Conservatoire, which he graduated from in 1966. Since that time Vavilov lives and works in Petrozavodsk. I've got acquainted with the creative work of the Honoured Artist of Russia, National Artist of Karelia, professor of the Petrozavodsk State Conservatoire Guennady Vavilov in far sixties. The Leningrad Music Spring concerts of 1966 demonstrated successfully his compositions for voice and piano "Songs of War and Peace", in the performance of which I took part in. That time I learnt the piano music of this young musician, preparing that time to graduate from the Leningrad Conservatoire. Guennady Vavilov's artistic aspirations were traced in those main threads, having become the leading ones for all his future creation. These principles are - to embody the surrounding world diversity in music, to strive for large-scaled ideas, to be interested in folklore as in the inexhaustible source, nourishing the true artistic phenomenon. During the past years his pen wrote the compositions of the most various genres. Guennady Vavilov's creative work really strikes by its intensity: six symphonies, Symphoniette, Epic Poem and Concerto for Symphony Orchestra; vocal-symphony compositions for soloists, choir and orchestra, two concertos and Divertimento in 9 movements for violin and orchestra; music for chamber ensemble: two sonatas, Romance and Scherzo, Karelian Notebook, Wepsian Fantasy for violin and piano, String Quartet; vocal compositions (more than one hundred songs) - this is not the full list of the composer's creations. Guennady Vavilov's music is performed not only in Russia, but abroad as well - in Germany and France, Finland and Sweden, in the USA, Norway and other countries. The highest reward was given to the composer at the International Congresses in the USA and England (1996-1999 years) as well, where he was thrice awarded the Grand Golden Medal, the Platinum Disc and the Golden Key. No doubt, the piano music is truly considered by the composer to be the special page in his creative work: 16 sonatas, 14 piano suites, among them - the ones, based on the Karelian and the Finnish folk-lore - "Piirilejkki", "Runes", "Native Strains", "Iojkhu", cycles of piano pieces, as large-scaled as "The Northern Album", "The Way to the Sun", "Etudes-pictures", novelles, more than one hundred programme-miniatures. Many piano compositions by G. Vavilov are published by the Compozitor Publishing House * Saint-Petersburg. Therefore the performers have a chance to study this unique sphere called Vavilov's music. 9790660007990.
